Rainout

On the way home from the races, Jason had to take care of his shift at the dnews. I tagged along and enjoyed the rain and lightning. Here are a couple of pictures from the Timpanogos Vs. Lone Peak game. You can see the weather turned a little nasty in the second photo.

World of Speed

I took my first trip to the Salt Flats yesterday. I've been meaning to get out there for some time now, but it's taken me till now to do it. I joined my friends Jason and Keith for a day at the races. We saw everything from a unicycle to a giant Diesel truck. It was Jason's interest in classic motorcycles that instigated the trip, so I've posted a couple of pictures of one of the bikes. You should be able to go to Jason or Keith's blogs (linked on the right) sometime in the first part of next year to see the images they took on their Holgas.

Fun Shoot

Last night I participated in a shoot of a little different kind; my 9mm was not my lens. Anyway, this was my first time doing something like this so I didn't expect to do well, and I didn't. I placed 26th out of 27 participants. It's alright though, I'm sure I'll do better next time because I'm more familiar with the experience. I was surprised at the amount of pressure I felt trying to decide if I was supposed to shoot the red or black target next.

You can check out the standings and stage setups here.
