Happy Halloween

A few years back when I first met Jason he invited my family over for a Halloween portrait. I thought it was a great idea. So, when I moved into a new neighborhood last year, I borrowed a page out of Jason's book and shot portraits for all my neighbors. This year I followed with tradition and shot almost twice as many as last year. It was fun to see all my neighbors. And, I'll get to visit again in a couple of weeks when the prints are done.

The picture above is me and Julie. Yup, the burns and stache are real.

Football

Oh what I wouldn't give for a 400mm lens. It would make getting a good shot from a football or soccer game a little easier because I wouldn't be limitted to such a small part of the field. Here is a photo I took from last night's game between the Murray Spartens and Olympus Titans. Olympus won on the road, 27-21.

I should also mention that last night was the first game I've attended where 2 News attended via helicopter. They landed during the first few minutes of the 2nd half, stirring the Murray fans into a frenzy. (Ohhh, they love Dave Fox!) It was funny because when the first touchdown of the game was made by Murray, the majority of the chearleaders had left the field to welcome Dave Fox and the 2 News photographer. I should know that getting on the 10 O'clock news is more important the football any day.

Utah 5A Girls Soccer Semi Final

Lone Peak takes on Brighton in the Utah 5A Girls Soccer Semi Final. The score was 0-0 when I left in the second half. Believe it or not, these two girls played the entire game with their eyes closed.

Family Portraits

It's fall, the season for family portraits. This year I've done a lot of portraits for families in the neighborhood. It's been fun. This morning we did a portrait of my family. While we were there I took a few pictures of my kids. Here is a picture of Jacob that turned out nice.

October Fun Shoot

I participated in another IDPA funshoot at Rangemasters. I placed 13th of 24 this time. You can see the results of the match here.
