Video Friday: Into the Wild
I was excited to see that John Krakauer’s book "Into the Wild" is being made into a movie. From what I can tell from the trailer, they did a great job casting Emile Hirsch as Christopher McCandless. Can't wait to see it. According to IMDB, it should be released September 21, 2007.

I wonder which parts of the story will played out for the camera and if the movie will have the same emotional impact as the book?
I remember turning the last page of the book. Feeling sick and angry I put the book down and went to my son's room and stood in the doorway to watch him sleep. In those few moments I intensly wished that he would stay little and safe and happy. And just as intensly worried over the form and direction his own journey of self-exploration would take hoping that he would leave some part of his life open to his mother and I.
