I have been thinking about the swim portion of a tri lately, esp. the open water swims. When I get to the lake/pond/etc I am really out of my comfort zone and end up having to breast/back stroke.
It all boils down to the fact that I am too afraid to practice in the open water by myself. I wonder if it would not be a good idea to buy a kayak or canoe. One person could swim, the other follow along side.
I really haven't thought that far ahead. I've just been sticking to the pool swims. I'm all for it if we could find a cheap canoe. That would be something the families could use camping as well. Let's talk about it.

www.winningstats.com. I have been using it all year. It is not without its problems, esp. exporting data but it is free.
