Tour of Utah - Stage 2 Winner

I shot stage 2 of the Tour of Utah today. The course went from Thanksgiving Point, out passed Cedar Fort and back into Tooele and ended at the Larry H. Miller speedway. The day was hot and dry, I was thankful to be in the car and not on a bike today.

The picture is of today's stage winner. I'l have to post his name later when the Tour of Utah site gets updated.

Air National Guard Disaster Training

Yesterday I spent the day with Jason on his photo assignments. During the morning we covered a Air National Guard Medical Unit training where they were training for an earthquake disaster response. It was fun to see the medical hospital tents set up. Before the patients were taken into the medical tents, many were treated for exposure to Vinyl Chloride. The pictures show a worker putting on her chemical suit while the other shows a patient being scrubbed down. (The guys in suits reminded me of E.T) I could help but think it was cool that people are training for events like this, but I also thought how much I hope to never see the real thing.

Here is a link to the story that ran along with one of Jason's pictures.
